Both men emphasized the dirt and exhaustion of war, the illusions of civilization that the soldiers shared with each other and the civilians: coffee, tobacco, whiskey, shelter, sleep.
Most of the time, when birds are engaging in distraction displays, they are going to be pretending either that they have an injury or that they're ill or that they're exhausted.
"We have lost security and safety. The audience is mentally exhausted," said actor Khalil Ibrahim. "How could they bear to watch a play for two or three hours?"
